The first quarter establishes a strong foundation in all four core subjects. Students develop advanced reading comprehension and writing skills through studying ancient civilizations, master multi-digit operations and fractions in mathematics, explore the properties of matter in science, and gain deep understanding of Western Hemisphere geography and pre-Columbian civilizations in social studies.
